Have you ever felt stuck in life? Or wondered if the God of the universe could really use you?

That was exactly where Junior Eargle found himself at the age of 40.

“My walk with Jesus was up and down based off of some bad decisions I made in my younger years that persisted into adulthood,” Junior said. “I didn’t see where a perfect God could or even would use me for His purposes.”

Junior knew he had a gift for music and desperately wanted to use that gift for the glory of God; however, he found himself stuck in a dead-end construction job with no hope in sight.

“I was crumbling inside,” Junior confessed. “The enemy had managed his way into my heart.  I was feeling absolutely worthless and full of shame. I was stuck.” 

Things took a turn one day when he was on the road heading to a job site.

Listening to a sermon while driving in his car, the Lord and His Word became very real.

“I immediately started crying uncontrollably,” Junior acknowledged. “So much so that my breath was almost gone.” 

“I realized in that moment how much God had been working in my life for my good and for my growth,” he continued. “In that moment, He showed me that I am enough and that I am loved eternally!” 

Ephesians 3:20 was a key verse for Junior at this time.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”

“His power is unimaginable and I can have that power within me,” Junior reflected. “The me who let the enemy confuse me into believing that I wasn’t enough for practically all my life.” 

“But He can and will use me,” he continued. “He’ll even put some of His power within me!”

Shortly after that life-changing revelation, Junior received the opportunity to join the staff of a church team doing what his heart had wanted to do for decades – music, specifically leading others in worship.

“I said yes to a possibility that I had thought was impossible,” Junior noted. “Even when I thought there was no way the God of all creation would use me for His kingdom good, He showed me that nothing is impossible for Him!”

“My life has been forever transformed by Jesus and His never-ending love for me,” Junior said. “Jesus showed me that my life hasn’t been wasted because He can use any situation!”

Junior offered some parting thoughts for anyone who may find themselves where he used to be.

“If you find yourself feeling stuck,” he said. “Stop what you’re doing and give Jesus a chance to speak life into your heart.” 

“Humbly ask Him for His guidance,” Junior stated. “HE will make your paths straight. His peace and wisdom never ceases to be available to us.  All we have to do is ask the One who loves us most!”
