Waiting.

It can be so hard, can’t it?

I’ve lost count of the various seasons of waiting God has brought me through in my life.

Waiting to be married.

Waiting to have children.

Waiting on my dream job.

Waiting for a prodigal to return.

Waiting for reconciliation in a friendship.

Waiting.

None of those waiting seasons have been easy. Because I’m human.

One of the really cool things about God, though, is that He’s not human. He sees our lives from beginning to end and has fashioned every season we walk through with intentionality and purpose.

Nothing is wasted.

Nothing.

Every single minute has meaning and value.

There’s something to be learned. Growth to be embraced. Faith to be fostered.

“We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28 CSB)

All things.

Even the time spent waiting.

So often, we become fixated on what we don’t have or don’t see yet instead of what God is actually doing in us and for us in the moment.

With God, there is no such thing as wasted time.

Let’s not miss what He’s doing today!

Until next time, Grace and Glory!
