Have you ever wondered what God is doing while you go to the grocery store?

How about when you’re taking your kids to those extracurriculars, navigating traffic on your way to work, or heading out on a date night with your spouse?

Ever wondered what God is doing while you’re focused on your everyday activities?

He’s with you, of course!

Seems obvious, right? However, because we’re “leaky” vessels who are prone to forget, it helps to be reminded (often) of how much He is with us every day.

Psalm 139 is a good place to start.

“Lord…You know when I sit down and when I stand up…You observe my travels and my rest;  you are aware of all my ways. Where can I go to escape your Spirit… When I wake, I am still with you.” (vs. 1 – 7, 18 CSB)

I don’t know about you but no one else on that planet knows me that well!

No one else is with me 24/7 to know precisely when I’m sitting or standing, driving in my car, taking a bathroom break, sleeping, or crying in my prayer closet!

Only God does.

Additionally, as a Christ-follower, Deuteronomy holds a promise of blessing for wherever we are.

“You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country…you will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.” (Deuteronomy 28:3 & 6 CSB)

How incredible is that?

Not only do we have a God who is consistently aware of where we are, what we’re doing, who we’re with, and what tests and trials we’re experiencing, but He promises to bless us as we navigate our day!

Dear friend, I pray that wherever you find yourself today and whatever situation you might be walking through, these promises would comfort your soul, bolster your faith, and strengthen your heart.

“May the Lord bless you and protect you; may the Lord shine His face on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26 CSB)
