Do you feel like God cares about your hopes and dreams?

It’s sometimes hard to imagine He does when your current day-to-day life looks nothing like what you’d hoped or imagined.

Years ago, at the young age of 24, I found myself divorced with two small children to care for.  Not what I’d hoped for or imagined when I stood at the altar years prior and said, “I do.”

The decade that followed was nothing short of a struggle – with poverty, discouragement, doubts, and lots of questions for God.

A Cinderella type marriage that culminated in the iconic “happily ever after” were deep-seated childhood dreams that I’d hoped would one day become a reality.  What I found myself going through at that time was completely contrary to all those hopes and dreams.

Can you relate?  Perhaps your situation isn’t identical to mine – maybe it’s a promotion you’ve been longing for or your finances to be more stable?  Or maybe you’re feeling overlooked by God as you wait for a prodigal child to return?

Whatever your circumstance may be, I can assure you God cares.  He says so.

I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” (Jeremiah 29:11 MSG)

How black and white is that?  The question is, do we believe Him?

I know for me there were many times during that difficult season of my life when I didn’t.  Yet, God in all His goodness and faithfulness continued to bring this verse back to the forefront of my focus.

I will take care of you…I will give you the future you hope for.

And, He has – in His time; in His way and I could not be more grateful.

Where do you find yourself today, friend?   Working when you’d rather be at home full-time?  Struggling with a doctor’s report that has kept you awake at night?  Single yet longing to be married?

Whatever your station in life is, know that God sees you.  He cares deeply about your hopes and dreams and He has a plan to give you the future you hope for!

Until next time, Grace and Glory!
